Now that January is (almost) finally over, it’s that time of year again. Step into any store, and it will most likely be FILLED with pink, red, and unusually large teddy bears. Yes, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.

If you’re like me, most of your friends have now found stable long-term-relationships. Yet for some reason, you will be celebrating Valentine’s Day, once again… single and alone *sighs*.

But hey! This year, instead of eating our feelings because we don’t have a S.O., us single people need to instead appreciate that there is SO much to enjoy about being single!
So, for those of you who need a reminder, here’s how to celebrate being single:
1. TREAT YOURSELF

Chocolates? Spa? Porsche? You name it, you deserve it. Since you’re not spending money on an S.O., you have more flexibility to do things for yourself. Just because you’re single, it doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve to feel special!!
2. JOIN A NEW CLASS

Whether it be figure drawing or pilates, joining a class will allow you to focus your time and energy into something exciting. You can’t go wrong with doing something that you love!
3. SPEND TIME WITH YOUR SINGLE FRIENDS

Not that there’s anything wrong with it, but sometimes it can be a bit much to always hear about your friends’ relationships. Spending time with your single friends will allow you to feel okay about your relationship status, whilst connecting over things you love.
4. TRY SOMETHING YOU’VE ALWAYS WANTED TO

This is your time to work on yourself and follow your dreams, without having to worry about needing anyone’s permission to take off somewhere for an extended period of time. Always wanted to hike Mount Everest? Or attend a month long yoga retreat in India? Why the f*ck not!
5. LOVE YOURSELF!!

Finally, realize that YOU are amazing! You are strong and independent, and there is SO much to love about yourself.
XOXO
